Mario Warfare wins top prize at Anime Expo film fest! Ultimo Dragon accepts award on our behalf.

Recently we entered a fight scene from an upcoming episode of Mario Warfare into Japan Film Society’s live action shorts competition at the Anime Expo in Los Angeles. We were very happy to find out that we won the competition and would be receiving 4 passes to next year’s expo. Mario Warfare – Deleted Shootout Scene

The title says it all.  However, I’ll let you in on another secret.  The location we’re at is owned by an industrial artist that used to live in Wilmington, NC.  Wilmington is known for film productions, and the artist actually worked on the Mario Bros movie, making set pieces.  The metal bench that the shyguys are hiding behind in this scene was actually in the Mario Bros movie!… Read the rest
